We currently employ three members of staff to run our daily sessions. Read more about them in their own words...
I have 26 years experience of working in the Early Years sector, and since qualifying as an Early Years Practitioner in 1996, I have completed a BA in Education (Early Childhood Studies).
As play leader my role and aim is to ensure that playgroup provides a quality environment for children to learn, grow and develop through quality experiences while developing trusting relationships with parents and families.
On a daily basis (and every day is different) I work with the staff team, families, committee and children to provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for everyone!
I have been an Early Years Practitioner at Blackhall Playgroup for 7 years. Prior to becoming a qualified Early Years Practitioner, I was a Staff Nurse for many years.
With 2 teenage boys of my own, I have become particularly fascinated in how young children learn through play and I really enjoy working with families to support their child’s Playgroup journey.
One of my passions is preparing healthy food and I'am always keen to encourage the children to try new foods at snack time!
Hi, my name is Katalin. I am a Playgroup Assistant currently carrying out my qualification to register with the SSSC as a qualified early years practitioner.
I am currently studying in my own time, while being part of the playgroup team, learning lot’s during every playgroup session.
My daughter used to attend Blackhall Playgroup, and it was during this time I got to know the staff and develop an interest in a career in the Early Years sector. I am very patient with children, helping them learn while also having fun!
